Funeral Pre-planning is nothing more than providing information to a funeral home that outlines a persons wishes for final disposition for their loved one or self. Information would include the death certificate's vital statistics, obituary information, Funeral or Cremation
services desired, and merchandise.
These items may be paid for in advance, or a file can be created in which
the wishes of the family is recorded.
By law, any funds paid in advance of death for pre-planning purposes must be
placed in a trust account or life insurance. This assures the family that their funds are secure,
and should a funeral home go out of business, or the person for whom the funeral was planned moves to another city, your policy can be used elsewhere.
